South Carolina School of Midwifery offers Distance Learning to those who wish to pursue midwifery outside of the state of South Carolina.

Birth Passages, as a comprehensive midwifery curriculum, covers every aspect of midwifery care, and prepares you for a national exam or your state exam.

We recommend that you check your state regulations or with local, practicing midwives regarding legal requirements for your state.

Curriculum Outline:

·Complete Registration Process - Fee $100
·Two lessons per month mailed via USPS - Fee $50 each lesson (includes Unit Tests)
·Unit tests must be completed and mailed back to the school before additional lessons will be sent.
·At this pace, course work will be completed in three years. However, if you choose to study at a faster pace, you may.
·A diploma will be issued upon completion of the course

This is a SC DHEC approved curriculum. Those who wish to license in South Carolina can take the NARM exam, on completion of the course and apprenticeship, and 100% of our students have passed the NARM exam!
